Lisa has volunteered to read at Mass. She initiated the communication to correct homework. She has shown responsibility and persistence in doing her best. Lisa displays virtues that show she cares about doing her best.
Jaela Trevino is a student that models selflessness. Jaela is always helpful towards her younger sister and cousin, but also many younger students in the school. She was seen inviting 6th graders into a game that the 7th and 8th graders were playing at recess. She made sure to include every student that was outside to participate. Jaela is constantly striving to learn and improve in her school work and keeps on top of assignments.
Evelyn exhibits joy. She shows gratitude through her actions and her words. She has a positive attitude and shows appreciation for her blessings: her family, her classmates, her school, and her academic abilities. Gratitude is one of the very many virtues Evelyn displays on a daily basis.
Toughness is defined as working hard and working smart, always motivated by a cause. Brashaun exemplifies this when motivated to do school work with a positive attitude. He works well and his good mood positively influences those around him.
Kylie is a student who exemplifies the virtue of Gratitude. She always says "Please and thank you" to her teachers and classmates. This summer she saved her money from babysitting and when she found out one of her neighborhood friends did not have any money for new school supplies and clothes, Kylie gave her friend her babysitting money so she could buy herself new items for the school year. Kylie was grateful for her blessings and then passed them onto others.
Frederick Williams is very conscientious with both academics and his behavior. Freddy fits the virtue of courage. He is the first student to do what the teachers ask and without a complaint or excuse. He is a leader and not a follower of his classmates. If everyone is not doing what is expected or asked, he will always do the right thing the first time.
Lanie demonstrates the virtues of prudence and fortitude in her schoolwork. She is always on task and following directions in the classroom. She participates in class discussions and is a great role model for her classmates. On the playground, Lanie demonstrates the virtue of charity by including others and playing with all her classmates.
Johnnae demonstrates the virtue of charity by helping younger students who wait at the walker door. Johnnae also demonstrates the virtue of fortitude in the classroom by being the first student to quietly follow direction. Johnnae shows integrity and leads her classmates by her example.
