Mrs. Emily Johnson has been a teacher at St. Anthony since 2005. She is originally from Muskegon, Michigan and came to the Michiana area to attend Saint Mary’s College in 2001.
During her time at Saint Mary’s she observed Mrs. Mabold’s 2nd Grade class and completed her student teaching in Mrs. Alexander’s 4th Grade classroom. It was throughout these years that Emily fell in love with the St. Anthony community.
Emily graduated in 2005 with a B.A. in Elementary Education and a reading minor, and she began teaching 5th and 6th grade science and 5th grade reading at St. Anthony that fall. In 2010 Emily was asked to help develop and lead the Pre-K3 program in its founding year at St. Anthony. She taught various levels in the Pre-K program from 2010-2015, thoroughly enjoying every minute! In 2015 she transitioned to teach 1st grade.
Emily and her husband, Kyle, are parishioners here and they have two sons who attend our school. They enjoy traveling to visit Emily's family in Michigan and occasional trips to eastern Oregon to spend time with Kyle's family on their cattle ranch.
