Christi Szymczak

Prior to St. Anthony, Christi has worked in the preschool world since 2003. She graduated from IUSB with her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education. After accepting a director’s position, Christi went back to Bethel College and obtained a Bachelor degree in Organizational Management. Then, in 2019 Christi returned to complete a Transition to Teaching program. 

Christi worked in PreK 4/5 from 2018-2020. Then, taught 4th grade Math, Science and Religion in 2021 and 5th grade Reading, ELA and Social Studies in 2022. Christi transitioned to Kindergarten in 2023.

Christi, her husband, and children are active members at St. Monica and serve their church in several ways. Between the two of them, they have one daughter and two sons. When not in the classroom, she enjoys reading, camping with her family, yoga and working in the garden. Christi is a huge Chicago Cubs Fan!
