Malachi is an example of the virtues of affability and kindness. He comes to school each day with a smile and greets teachers and classmates. He often volunteers to hold the door for the teacher so the class can enter the school.
Ella Jones (1st grade) is being nominated for the virtue of kindness. By definition kindness is the quality of being friendly, generous and considerate. Ella exemplifies these qualities daily. She consistently uses her manners, is quick to say thank you, always showing her appreciation. She is the first to offer something of hers that another classmate needs. She is a true friend to all, genuinely tender-hearted. Thank you Ella for radiating kindness among us.

Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 26, and it's coming up soon! For most people, Lent is the time when they give something up (maybe something to do with a dropped NY resolution). Or maybe they resolve to add one thing. The truth is, Lent isn't about resolutions at all. It's a journey. And it's one that you take alone (at times), with your family (all the time), and with the parish community (at really important times). Click above for more!
