In March, we had a STEM event for Dr. Seuss that was committee driven. A group of five-seven teachers worked on planning a whole day around Dr. Seuss’s birthday. The Saint Anthony community was paired by grade level allowing older students to work with younger students.
The activities ranged from ELA to engineering to science. Some classrooms then flipped the script after reading the book to the kids asking the kids to work with their class buddies to create a STEM lesson based on the Dr. Seuss book they read.
The kids were challenged to be as creative as possible and work through all the steps of the EIE. The winning team will be awarded a free STEM tshirt!
