Dear Panther Families,
Each morning this week, our reflection centered around one of God’s greatest commandments–to “Love your neighbor as yourself" (Mk 12:31). We reflected on the parable of the good Samaritan by considering who we are to consider as “our neighbors." Thursday we celebrated the many virtuous acts observed among our students with a free dress down day (sorry we didn’t send a text to parents!). It is beautiful to see the students caring for one another each day in the classrooms and hallways.
Each year, Catholic schools within our diocese recognize teachers that model the example of Christ with the Light of Learning Award. Please consider nominating a teacher from our school that you have experienced to be an exemplary reflection of Christ as a teacher. This teacher will be honored at a special luncheon during Catholic Schools Week in January. You can find instructions for the nomination on the Light of Learning Nomination Form. Nominations are due October 1 and must include an explanation for the nomination (not just a name).
The beloved tradition of intramural soccer continues with the “season opener” this weekend! This weekend is our Ministry Fair after every Mass. Come see how you can be involved in the parish and school community. There is so much to do and celebrate from PreK-8. It is wonderful to see some many children, adults, and groups coming together in our St. Anthony de Padua Community.
