Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. ~ Psalm 90:12
Dear Panther Families,
This week we had insulation blown into the roofs of the school and DePadua Hall. Father Ben and the Finance Council are hoping this will help with our heating bill this winter. We also have begun work to remove and replace the boiler in the gym building. We appreciate the help of Oahn Nguyen (Jenny’s dad) in tearing down the brick wall to remove the old boiler. We also appreciate Andrew Turba and Aaron Bobson for their help with this major project! A garage door will replace where a door and window that opened up into the boiler room were. We should have a new boiler installed within three weeks. See photos in this week’s photo album.
It’s hard to believe that we are almost at the end of the 1st quarter. We ask that you please complete the Quarter 2 Learning Option form to designate whether you would like your child(ren) to attend school in person or virtually for Quarter 2, which runs from October 26 to January 15. Please submit your response by Saturday, October 17 so that we have time to arrange classrooms appropriately. Information will be coming soon regarding Parent/Teacher Conferences.
Since we are limiting student activities, groups, and parties, we have decided not to publish a hard copy Parent Directory. We will, however, publish a password protected online directory, mainly for room parent usage. If you would like to opt out of this directory listing, please submit the attached form.
From our Virtue=Strength Newsletter this week:
Our virtue this week is COURAGE - The strength to conquer fear and negative peer pressure in the most adverse and difficult situations, no matter what the consequences may be. What are some of the ways you feel negative peer pressure? We need to be COURAGEOUS and conquer that fear by always doing the right thing and avoiding the wrong.
Please join us for weekend Mass, or watch on YouTube. Mass times are 4:15pm Saturday and on Sunday at 8:15am and 10:30am. Fr. Ben is offering a drive-up Eucharist to those who are not comfortable coming to Mass. This will take place every Friday morning at 9 am in the church parking lot.
Sincerely,
Karen Bogol
