Thus will it be for the one who stores up treasure for himself but is not rich in what matters to God. - Luke 12:21
Dear Panther Families,
During our morning prayer and reflection, we heard Luke 12:15 - 21, the parable of the rich fool. We then reflected on what kinds of actions make us rich in God’s eyes. As I visit classrooms and interact with our teachers and students, I am continually impressed with how “rich” our school is in what matters the most. While I see a lot of learning happening in my visits to classrooms, I see joy, kindness, and respect being practiced, modeled, and nurtured among our students, faculty, and staff.
Back to School Night We hope you can join us next Thursday evening for Back to School night. I will speak to everyone at 6pm in the gym. Then you are invited to visit your child’s classroom to hear about your child’s teacher and class. We will have assistance with Powerschool and SCRIP available in the computer lab. For those of you starting to think about high school, we will have representatives from both Marian and St. Joe on site as well!
Grandparent & Special Person Day Come celebrate this special day next Friday, September 6. Prior to 9:00 Mass, we will have an “Open House” for grandparents and special friends. Students are welcome to arrive with their grandparent or guest between 8 and 8:40. Beginning at 8:40, everyone will be invited to head to church to get settled for 9:00 Mass. Following Mass, there will be a reception in the gym with drinks and snacks. Please RSVP with the number of family members attending, so that HASA can plan accordingly. Also, HASA is requesting help with treats for this special day. You may sign up to help using the
online sign-up form. *Please note, students without special guests should still arrive at the normal 7:40 - 8:00 time. These students will also attend Mass and enjoy a cookie with their classroom teacher afterwards. Students can also arrive prior to 8 ad have their guests meet them at school.
