God is able to make every grace abundant for you, so that in all things, always having all you need, you may have an abundance for every good work. (2 Cor 9:8)
Dear Panther Families,
This week was filled with silly outfits, lots of smiles, and plenty of school spirit. This special week highlighting community spirit was especially timely as we experienced several transitions - including the loss of two beautiful brothers from the SJHS community, a pastor transition, and a principal transition.
In Sunday’s homily, Father Ben reminded us that our community is not dependent upon one individual. Our community is shaped by our individual responses to Christ’s invitation. We thrive when we recognize and honor Him in one another. We respond to invitations to share our gifts, and we invite others to contribute theirs, as we build our faith community.
This is beautifully illustrated in our St. Anthony Community. Despite many changes and challenges over the years, we continue to experience blessings and increased strength and vibrancy. The dedication of teachers, support staff, volunteers, and advisory councils, not only continued, but grew. We have new parish ministries, increased volunteerism at school, excellent student and staff retention, financial stability, and strong enrollment for next year. We are looking forward to continuing this momentum over the summer and into next school year.
The school board would like to invite you to connect with school leadership to discuss concerns, share ideas, or just learn more about what school leadership does and opportunities to be involved. There are two opportunities next week - Wednesday evening or Thursday morning. You can read more about it here: Meet the Board
We look forward to tomorrow’s movie night hosted by St. Anthony Athletics. Please keep our Girls on the Run in your prayers as they participate in their 5K on Saturday morning. Lastly, I invite you to join us in praying the following prayer, from St. Francis de Sales, for our St. Anthony Community:
Be at Peace. Do not look forward in fear to the changes in life; rather, look to them with full hope that as they arise, God, whose very own you are, will lead you safely through all things; and when you cannot stand it, God will carry you in His arms.
Do not fear what may happen tomorrow; the same understanding Father who cares for you today will take care of you then and every day.
He will either shield you from suffering or will give you unfailing strength to bear it.
Be at peace, and put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations.
