Today I am asking families to review some safety items. Some of our junior high students expressed some concern over the Momo Challenge. It was reported that children and adolescents were being told by “Momo” to do dangerous things. This has been debunked as a myth/urban legend. There appear to be no verified reports of the character actually appearing or encouraging such behavior.
I appreciate the concern expressed by these students. It is a good reminder to be diligent in monitoring how our students are interacting with electronic devices and social media. Please take a moment to re-read a letter outlining the guidance we received last year from our guest speaker, Cathie Bledsoe, on Cyber-Safety. Of course, our best support for student safety is open and honest communication with our students, parents, and teachers.
Join our school students for Stations of the Cross at 2:15 pm on Fridays during Lent in the church. Stations will also be held at 5:30pm every Friday during Lent. Living Stations will be presented by our 6th graders on April 12 at 2:15pm and 5:30pm. With Lent also comes our annual Parish Fish Fry on March 15. Tickets are on sale and may be purchased online, through a
printable form, after weekend Masses, in the school office, and in the parish office. Tickets are discounted if purchased in advance.
Thank you for your continued involvement and support. Please join us for Mass this weekend on Saturday at 4:30 PM or on Sunday at 7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, or 11:00 AM.
