“Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” ~ Romans 15:7
Dear Panther Families,
It is the time of year for us to begin thinking about registration for 2020-21! We will be opening early registration for our current families next week and welcoming new families to tour our school at our Open House on January 26.
As part of our Open House, we would like to celebrate the families that make our community so special! School Board is inviting each family to create a poster celebrating about your family. These will be on display. Your poster can be as simple as answering some questions or you can get creative and make a poster or a tri-fold board! If you have a favorite snack or recipe to share - feel free to put some out for others to sample! Papers are coming home today - please feel free to make it as simple or as snazzy as you feel like (or as your schedule and craft supplies allow!)
The first step in our current family registration process for 2020-21 is to approve parishioner tuition subsidies. Each year, the Diocese requests that we formally record and approve all parishioner tuition subsidy requests with a signed approval form. If you are an active parishioner of St. Anthony Parish, please complete the Active Parishioner Affidavit form and return it to the school office by Friday, January 24. Those who are members of other parishes (without a school) simply need to indicate the name of their parish at the time of registration for 2020-21 (next week) and we will submit an internal approval form to your parish on your behalf.
Mrs. DeBoe will be out of the office for the next few weeks to recuperate from surgery. We ask that you please do not email or text Mrs. DeBoe, as these communications will not be received or responded to. You may email the school with questions at school@stasb.org. Any attendance (absences, tardies, and early releases) should be reported via our online form at
https://school.stasb.org/attendance.
We have some exciting news to share with our community. We are welcoming a new teacher, Ms. Katie Lasseter, to our 4th grade. Ms. Lasseter is in the process of moving back to our area and is excited to join us. She previously taught Composition at St Joseph High School and at Holy Cross College, where she also worked in Fundraising. She was also formerly a Kindergarten teacher at St. Therese Academy in Dallas, Texas. You can read her full bio
here.
We also have some new students who have joined us since we returned from break: Molly Morse (7), PersaiusAnn Darrell (Pre-K), Micah Stover (8), and Addyson Stover (6). We welcome them and their families to our St. Anthony School community!
