A local college professor has asked us to help with a service project called “Food not Bombs”. Food not Bombs is a community group based around mutual aid to assist food insecure people of South Bend, IN. FnB aims to work with the community to best feed those affected by homelessness, natural disaster, and those in food deserts. The program is primarily asking families of students to look through and donate their unused hotel and sample sized shampoos, soap bars, tooth paste, conditioner, body wash, etc. to be distributed to people living on the street.  In terms of food / nutrition, they are looking for excess school lunch type things that do not need refrigeration and are sealed, such as waffle crackers, juice boxes, individual cereals, pop tarts, etc. Donations may be sent to the school office.
