Ms. Kathryn O’Callaghan has been a part of the St. Anthony family since August of 2020. Before taking on her new position as Art teacher, she was an instructional assistant in the panther preschool and substitute taught for a number of different grade levels.
Kathryn grew up primarily in South Bend and graduated from St. Joseph High School and the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in Theology and Irish Language and Literature. Following her graduation, Kathryn joined the Echo program at Notre Dame to earn an M.A. in Theology and worked for two years
as part of the program in a Catholic parish in New Jersey. She was a part of the Religious Education team at the parish and planned and taught lessons connecting faith and art to 1st -6th grade students. After earning her M.A., Kathryn worked for 8 months in Cork, Ireland as a chaplain to university students before the Covid pandemic sent her home in March of 2020.
Kathryn has one sister and three brothers, whom she greatly enjoys playing board games with on the weekends. When not teaching, Kathryn also enjoys reading, writing, sewing, drawing and painting, and watching football.
