At the beginning of the year, students should have recieved a solid black folder with a behavior chart clipped in the binding. This folder should go home every night and come back again the next day. Any notes from the teacher or work the students complete during the day will travel through this folder. In addition, anything that needs to come back to school will travel back in the "School" pocket of the folder.
Students are more than welcome to bring a birthday treat to share! Please make sure whatever is brought in is nut free. Usually, we will do birthday treats at lunch or at the very end of the day. There are 18 students in our class total.
During the week, students are expected to be reading 20 minutes a night with a parent, practicing fact fluency, spelling, and doing independent math homework every night. Students should leave school knowing exactly what homework they have that evening. There is no homework on weekends, holidays, or shortened (less then 4 day) weeks.
My school email is the best way to contact me on the evenings and weekends. If the issue is time sensitive, please call the school office and they will make sure I get the message.
