Shoes - Shoe embellishments may not be of a distracting nature (lights, sound, etc.). As some families may have purchased light up shoes for school, we will allow these to be worn as P.E. shoes the remainder of this academic year.
Belts - If worn, belts must be a neutral color (black, white, brown, tan, gray).
Uniform Code Reminders:
Hairstyles/Hair Accessories - In regard to hairstyles, we are not changing our verbiage at this time. We require that hair accessories not be a distraction (large flowers, cat ear headbands, etc). There is a trend in boys’ hair towards “tallness” or increasing height. We are not setting a “height” limit at this time, but hairstyles should look well-kempt, traditional, and neat.
Socks - In regard to socks, I get it, they are just socks. However, when we are congregated as a school community, neon or red socks do stand out and distract from our unified appearance. This is especially true during shorts season. Allowed socks will continue to be a solid white, black, or gray.
Outerwear - The same unified appearance principle holds true for non-uniform hoodies in class or Mass. Therefore, students should have a uniform sweater or fleece if they tend to get chilly.
Long Sleeved Shirts - Non-uniform long-sleeved shirts should not be worn under short-sleeved uniform shirts.
Shorts-Shorts are retired from November 1-March 31. We look forward to welcoming them back from hibernation in the spring!
We are working with our uniform supplier (SIA) to develop our new logo on uniform pieces. There will be a transition period as we phase out the old and welcome the new!
