Dear Panther Families,
We have so many exciting things happening during the month of October. We invite you to participate as a family in our Costume Cotillion tomorrow night, our School Spirit Mass on Sunday, and our Hannah’s House Baby Shower & Pink/Blue Dress Down Day on Monday.
Costume Cotillion Tomorrow All families are cordially invited to the 3rd Annual Costume Cotillion on Friday, October 11 in the St. Anthony Gym from 6:30-8:30pm. Wear a family-friendly costume or dress as your favorite saint, or just come in your comfy party clothes. Enjoy dancing, snacks, and activities for the whole family. Admission is free and open to all St. Anthony School and Parish families, and don't forget - all children must be accompanied by an adult.
School Spirit Mass Sunday At the 10:30 Sunday Mass, we would like to invite our students who are in sports, clubs, and other activities to attend this special recognition Mass t0 be honored. Students can wear their activity/team jersey, shirt, or uniform top (such as Scouts).
Hannah’s House Shower & Pink/Blue Dress Down Day Monday Students will participate in “Baby Shower” for Hannah’s House on Monday. We will hold the baby shower during school hours for our “St. Anthony Baby”. The shower will contain all of the elements of a real baby shower, including:
1. Gifts: Please purchase an item or items from the Hannah’s House wish list and bring your gifts on Monday to add to our collection for Hannah’s House. One point will be given to student saint Houses for each item brought in. We will also be issuing a
Scavenger Hunt prize of 5 extra points for any House who turns in all items on the list. House points = special prizes throughout the year!!
2. Games: Teachers will play some special baby shower games with students on Monday. 3. Snack: A snack will be provided for students. 4. Theme: Pink/Blue Shower - Students will be able to dress down for the day, but should wear either a pink or blue shirt to designate what gender they think our “St. Anthony Baby” will be. 5. Gender Reveal: At 1:15pm (prior to our early dismissal), students will meet on the blacktop to participate in a special gender reveal to find out what gender our “St. Anthony Baby” actually is!
Please remember to bring your baby gifts on Monday to participate in the shower! See the attached flyer for a list of items and a submission slip for House points. Donations can be returned to the school through November 5.
Some other events to take note of for this month:
JACC Mass- Wednesday, October 23 is our annual JACC All Schools Mass. Students in grades 3-8 will attend via bus. Permission slips will be sent home next week. Please be on the lookout for these. Students in grades 3-8 who are not attending or are without a permission slip will need to remain at home for the morning. Classes will resume at approximately noon.
Parent/Teacher Conferences- Conferences will be held on October 23 & 24 (on 22 & 24 for 4th/5th Grades). Parents may reserve a time slot using the links on our website. Please note that these conferences are student-led, so students are expected to attend.
Conference Early Release Days - Please also note that there will be an early release at 1:45pm on both the 23rd & 24th, due to conferences. Extended Care will be available for those who are registered for this service.
Fall Break - Friday, October 25 is a Fall Break Day - no school.
Our weekend parish Mass times are 4:15pm on Saturday and 8:15am & 10:30am on Sunday. We hope you join us for one of these Mass times!
