God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them." ~ 1 John 4:16
Dear Panther Families,
The House Retreat on Tuesday was beautiful. Students spent some time in liturgical singing, adoration, working on service projects for their House community partner, and listening to our guest speaker, Sr. M. Lissetta Gettinger, talk about the virtue of love.
Please join us for the tailgate this Saturday evening at McKinley Tap! It should be a great time to enjoy great food and community. Thank you to HASA for putting the event together!
Monday is the end of our 1st Trimester. Report cards will come home on Thursday. Be sure to check student folders/backpacks for these. Monday is also an early dismissal day @ 1:45pm for professional development. There will be Extended Care for those who are registered.
Adoration Club is starting up again! The first session will be after school on Tuesday, November 12, from 3-4 pm. Please see this form for more information and to sign up.
We currently have some service projects underway:
Please help support The Society of St. Vincent de Paul as it works to feed the hungry this holiday season. Attached is the list of food items assigned to each classroom. All items go to stock the St. Anthony Food Pantry.
The Gianna House and HASA are teaming up to begin collecting aluminum can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. Simply place these in a baggie, marked with your child’s name and House, and send them to school. We will collect these all year.
The Christ Child Society is collecting gently used clothing - long sleeved shirts, pants, shoes, hats, mittens, boots and coats (no shorts or sleeveless tees please) in sizes newborn to 20. Boxes are located in the school.
Yesterday, Kate from Hannah's House visited the school to pick up the over 500 items that you donated for their organization during our baby shower. She was very thankful to receive the items and said, "What a blessing" the items are to the women of Hannah's House. Thank you to all who donated!
Please consider joining us for 10:30 Mass on Sunday. The Marian High School Liturgical Choir will join us with their beautiful voices. They will begin with prelude hymns before Mass, so arrive early! Click here for a preview. We will host a reception for everyone after Mass to honor the choir in the FBE room with donuts, coffee, and cider.
