While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.” ~Genesis 8:22
Dear Panther Families,
Mark your calendars for our 2019 Advent Mission Week from December 8th-12th at St. Anthony. The entire week includes special events for the whole family to help prepare our hearts for the Lord. This week’s Good News and our website have all the details!
As our weather has become unexpectedly winter-like, please make sure that students come to school prepared to go outside for recess with clothing and footwear that helps prevent them from getting cold, wet, or muddy. This includes warm coats, snow pants, hats, gloves/mittens, and boots. Many students were without boots this week and ended up with wet feet after recess. We also had many students without hats. All grades will go outside daily, if the windchill is 20 degrees or above.
On another weather related topic, please note that, as we are making early morning weather delay and/or cancellation decisions, we do not necessarily follow any other school. We take many factors into consideration. High Schools and larger corporations have student drivers, buses, and a wider area to consider. As most of our families live closer into town, we take weather conditions close to our school into consideration. If we decide that school will be in session and you are not comfortable with the driving conditions in your area, we understand you must make the decision that is best for your family. Two hour delays are a possibility if travel conditions are expected to improve within a two hour window. Please consider a plan for your family, should a two hour delay be called.
Today we are sending home a flyer with some example images and a description of pant styles that are acceptable and unacceptable under our uniform code. We realize that the term “dress pants or slacks” in the uniform code may have been misunderstood, so we are asking that parents review the flyer and keep the acceptable pant styles in mind when purchasing new pants. For this year, these images are for clarification purposes only. We will begin enforcing the dress pant style next school year.
Report cards are coming home today. Be sure to check student folders/backpacks for these. Please click here for a list of our Honor Roll recipients.
Our weekend parish Mass times are 4:15pm on Saturday and 8:15am & 10:30am on Sunday. We hope you join us for one of these Mass times!
