And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
~ Galatians 6:9
Dear Panther Families,
We have so much going on this week! Please be sure to read the Good News carefully to make sure that you are up to date on school news and happenings.
Please join Father Ben and me for a Coffee Talk! We will be available Tuesday, October 20th at 7:30am in DePadua Hall. No commitment, but if you plan to attend please give us a heads up here so we can accommodate for social distancing and refreshments. If you would like to attend Tuesday’s coffee talk virtually, please indicate so on the RSVP form so we can email a Zoom link.
Please consider nominating one of our wonderful teachers for the Christ the Teacher award. Nomination forms are due by Wednesday, October 21. Our faculty and staff are the most committed and positive people with whom I have had the pleasure to work. Each day, I am humbled by their selfless acts and commitment to helping our students and one another.
From our Virtue=Strength Newsletter this week:
Our virtue this week is TOUGHNESS - The strength to work hard and to work smart, always motivated by a cause.
As we have a long weekend coming up at the end of the month and are heading into the holiday season, we would like to address COVID precautions and return to school guidance. We ask that families that travel be especially diligent in following the COVID precautions of wearing masks, social distancing, and careful hygiene.
In keeping with CDC and LHD guidelines, we ask that families who do not feel they have taken these precautions to quarantine for 14 days after travel and/or contact with those outside the household. For the health and safety of everyone within the St. Anthony community, please continue to limit exposure outside your immediate household/student cohorts and take precautions - including a quarantine upon return from travel when precautions may not have been followed. Such an absence would be “excused” as long as the student checks in for remote learning. Per state guidelines, other absences not resulting from parent or doctor verified illness or family funeral are documented as “unexcused”. Just for your knowledge, 10 or more unexcused absences are reported to the state for truancy.
Please join us for weekend Mass, or watch on YouTube. Mass times are 4:15pm Saturday and on Sunday at 8:15am and 10:30am. Fr. Ben is offering a drive-up Eucharist to those who are not comfortable coming to Mass. This will take place every Friday morning at 9 am in the church parking lot.
Sincerely,
Karen Bogol
