Dear Panther Families,
We’ve successfully completed 100 days of school! We acknowledge the many blessings, joys, and successes we continue to experience despite unusual circumstances. This Sunday we will be touring prospective families as we enter into Catholic Schools Week - a week to reflect upon the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to our church, our communities, and our nation.
Typically, Sunday’s Open House would be for anyone and everyone, however this year we are limiting visitors to the building. We are scheduling tours for prospective families. If you know of any families who are interested in our school, please share this link with them or encourage them to give us a call for information.
As part of our Virtues = Strength program, we focused on the virtue of courtesy this week. Next week’s Celebrate Vocations Day may be a great opportunity for your child to identify some virtuous attributes of those they identify as admiring. In talking with some students about their potential future careers or those they admire, we had a great conversation about the difference in admiring something and being entertained by something. One example is how we are entertained by musicians or personalities on social media, but it may not be the same as admiration. The conversation then turned to virtues we recognize in the people we admire.
We hope to see everyone at Mass on Saturday/Sunday or watching on YouTube. Mass times are 4:15pm Saturday and on Sunday at 8:15am and 10:30am.
