“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!" ~ Psalm 27:14
Dear Panther Families,
We had a fun Crazy Christmas out of uniform day today! Pictures are available on our photo album webpage, We had so many beautiful cards come in and $487.00 was raised for the Giving Tree!
Thank you to all who supported our Giving Tree ministry through monetary donations and/or gift purchases. A friendly reminder that giving tree gifts are due to the back of church (old SCRIP room) by this Sunday, 12/6 or to the school office by Wednesday, 12/9. If you need an alternate dropoff plan, please email Mrs. DeBoe and she will be glad to arrange something with you. If you would like to assist with contactless delivery, delivery will begin in the Church Meeting Room on Saturday, 12/12 @ 9am. Be sure to wear a mask!
This month’s virtue from Virtue=Strength
Our virtue this month is HUMILITY - The strength to put others before ourselves. God first, others second and ourselves last. In other words JOY = Jesus, Others, Yourself. We believe humility is the root of all virtue.
Thank you again for all of your patience and support as we respond to the realities resulting from COVID precautions. We have a group of junior high students on campus for virtual learning and they have really helped out around the school. Our faculty and staff have embraced new roles and challenges, especially this past week, and it has been beautiful to witness the community come together - well, come together from a social distance!
This week is the beginning of our Catholic liturgical year - Advent. Advent is a time of expectant waiting and preparation for both the celebration of the Nativity of Christ at Christmas and the return of Christ at the Second Coming. This week’s bulletin cover by Isabella Catanzarite beautifully depicts our time of preparation and waiting.
Please join us for weekend Mass, or watch on YouTube. Mass times are 4:15pm Saturday and on Sunday at 8:15am and 10:30am. We have a special, socially distanced visitor this weekend! Saint Nicholas will pay a visit in the church after all Masses and send families home with a special surprise to celebrate his Feast Day.
Sincerely,
Karen Bogol
