"Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.” ~ Luke 10:9
Dear Panther Families,
Thank you for your efforts as we all settle into remote learning. As a reminder, below are the links to related information. Please communicate both what works well and what may be a challenge with your child’s teacher. We very much value the education and experiences from specials.
Attendance Reporting: To report attendance for our remote learning days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, please click on the classroom attendance link for your child's homeroom found at the top of their "Learning Board". Learning Boards for each day are posted on the homeroom teacher's webpage.
A few notes about attendance… Students are doing well remembering to “check in” to their learning boards. They only need to check into the learning board on that remote learning day. If they return to finish the work later, students don’t need to check in again. If we see a child has not checked in by noon and we haven’t heard from a parent, we will consider them absent until we hear from a parent. Mrs. DeBoe will be assisting in verifying attendance. If a child is sick on a remote learning day, please indicate that on the attendance form.
Grades and attendance for grades 4-8 will be recorded in PowerSchool and may be checked via your parent login. The process for reporting assignment grades for K-3 students is in development and will be communicated with parents soon.
Brain Breaks: Even though we ask that students report attendance on learning days, they are not expected to complete all of the assignments on their Learning Board in one sitting. Assignments are not due until the next learning day at 8:00am, so students may spread them out into multiple sessions. Students benefit from “brain breaks”. Allow for times to play outside or do other fun activities in conjunction with their assignments.
Vote for our Yearbook Cover: Something fun for students to do - we have 2 yearbook cover choices and are asking students to vote for their favorite. If they have not already done so, they may vote by clicking this link. We will leave voting open through tomorrow.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child’s teacher via email. They are available to help!
