“Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.” ~ 1 Corinthians 12:12
Happy New Year, Panther Families!
As President of our School Advisory Board, it is my honor, on behalf of the entire Board, to welcome you all back from what we hope was a blessed and joyful Christmas break. It is our wish that this final half of the school year is filled with success and happiness for all of our students and their families.
We cannot achieve success on our own: it takes cooperation and partnerships. We can rely on one another more fully when we truly know and understand one another. Our community is a gift for many reasons. One of the main reasons we, as your School Advisory Board, value our community is because of the many backgrounds and traditions that we bring to our life together as a unified parish and school family. This is unique and makes our Catholic School particularly special. We want to celebrate this and share this with our greater Michiana community as well.
This is the basis for our kick-off to Catholic School’s Week “Celebration of Our Community” event to be held Sunday, January 26, 2020 during our school Open House!
St Anthony de Padua parish and school nurtures our diverse community and celebrates our family and cultural traditions. We invite all of our parish and school families to share your traditions with our community at this festive event. Whatever is special to you is special to us!
If your family has a standing tradition of playing Candy Land on Saturday mornings and want to set up a game – wonderful! If your family enjoys sharing your cultural heritage through food – we’ll have outlets ready for crockpots! Perhaps your family connects through music, art or dance? We’ll designate a space in the gym for you to share those gifts with others. There are no limits to what makes us special and so, there are no set rules for what your family can share. Please come share your family’s art, clothing, games, dances, food, language, music or whatever else you’d like. We look forward to celebrating together.
We’ll provide tables and chairs and ask you to bring your own supplies. Once we have everyone signed up, we’ll provide more information regarding specifics. You can always reach out to us with any questions.
Thank you, for your work and support of our school – together, we make all the difference.
Many blessings to you all,
